Bishop J. E. Watkins 

Bishop J. E. Watkins is the Senior Pastor of Jack London Square Chapel C.O.G.I.C., International.  He is the great nephew of the late, Bishop C. H. Mason, Founder of the Church of God in Christ, International.

He is a husband, father, grandfather and was a mentoring Father/Scout Master for 18 years to over 500 Boy Scouts in Troop 69, with headquarters at St. Augustine’s church in Oakland, California.  Bishop J. E. Watkins is a 2nd generation Carpenter and 3rd generation licensed Plumber.  He is a Licensed General Contractor and a retired Specialty Combination Building Inspector and Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Oakland. 

Bishop Watkins is a professional musician with over 50 years experience playing lead guitar.  He is a professional Photographer, Videographer, Music Composer, Arranger, Vocalist, and Drummer.

He is the Founder/CEO of OWH Studios Training Program for at-risk youth bringing exposure and solutions to the issues of our communities.  Bishop Watkins is annual attendee of the NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) for the past 20 years.

Adding to his credits, he was nominated and won the prestigious Jefferson Award for outstanding public service in 2009.
